Originally from Ghent, Belgium, Liesbeth is now based in Nieuwenhove, Geraardsbergen. Together with her husband, she has lived and worked in Belgium, Sweden, Taiwan, and New Zealand. After the birth of their son in Taiwan, they returned to Belgium to settle as a family.

After 9 years as an in-store graphic designer at IKEA, she founded
Elle creates in 2018. Her connection with IKEA continued, working as a freelance designer across the globe.

During her time in Taiwan, she began a 100-day drawing challenge, capturing the charm and quirks of everyday life there. What started as a personal project grew into a stationery and kitchen accessory line, a self-published book, and a lasting passion for illustration.
